Spanish Club

(El club de español)

 

I.  Article One (Purpose)

 

A.  Through activities essentially outside the classroom, the Spanish Club provides culturally enriching activities that develop and promote a broader understanding of the culture and language associated with the Spanish language.

 

II.  Article Two (Membership)

A.  Membership is open to any student enrolled at Bear River High.    A membership fee is required.

 

III.  Article Three (Officers)

A.  Officers are chosen from students presently or previously enrolled in Spanish.  Officers are selected by the advisor based on their interest in the office and their ability to carry out their responsibilities. 

 

          B.  Officers are chosen in May for the next school year.

 

C.  Officers shall consist of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Historian.  Committee chairpersons will also be selected to head-up individual activities. 

 

IV. Article Four (Emblem)

A.  The emblem of the Spanish Club will either be a Mexican or Spanish flag. 

 

V.  Article Five (Activities)

A.    Activities could include: guest speakers, Spanish food, language or culture fairs, field trips, school event-based (homecoming, etc.), a film festival, dance, music, and celebration of holidays such as Día de los Muertos, Navidad, Cinco de Mayo, etc.
