"I’m Mackenzie Wells and I am so excited to be teaching at Golden Spike this year. My husband and I moved to Tremonton a year ago and we have 3 little boys that keep us busy. This will be my first year working for Box Elder School District. I taught in the Salt Lake Area for 4 years. I love teaching Special Education and I love seeing the progress all students can make." We are lucky to have Mackenzie Wells as one of our functional skills teachers!

I graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and a Bachelor's in Special Education with an emphasis in Mild/Moderate disabilities. I love all my students and love to help them learn and grow. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time being outside and going on adventures with my husband, playing games, watching movies, reading books, and doing crafts." "Hi! My name is Wendy Kidd and I have been teaching for 25 years. My favorite thing about teaching is helping kids discover that they can solve difficult problems and learn new things along the way. I love to read, do puzzles, and go sailing with my family at Bear Lake! I’m excited for the new year and new school!" We are thrilled to have Wendy Kidd as one of our third grade teachers.

"Besides loving to work with kids and help them find success; I am an adventurer who loves the outdoors and spending time with my family. My husband Dallin and I are currently remodeling our original 1960's home and loving it. When I grow up, I want to be a mom; but for now 20+ kids a year will suffice." The kindergarteners are going to love Stephanie Heaton as their teacher.

"This is my first full year as a school counselor, but I was at Foothill elementary for the last little bit of the school year. In my spare time, I love playing music, being outdoors, hiking, doing yoga, and being with friends and family. I also am part of an improv comedy performing group called the Antics." I graduated with my Masters in Social Work from the University of Utah in 2009 and I have spent most of my career helping at-risk children as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
