Golden Spike 4th and 5th Grade Families, My name is Heather Lyman and I am the music teacher at Golden Spike. I love music and I'm so excited to be teaching it to your children. For the last few months of school I want to teach recorders to the 4th and 5th graders. While we are using recorders, each student will have their own recorder. They are going to be organized by class and they will not be sharing. Below are a few options for how to get a recorder 1. Bring a recorder from home-We are using a basic soprano recorder. This is the common one found in stores. The students are welcome to bring it back and forth or to store it here so they don't forget it each week. Please start bringing the recorders by 3/22. 2. Purchase a recorder through the school. We have been able to purchase recorders in bulk for $3.00. If you pay in the office with cash or check, your cost is $3.00. You can go to www.successfund.com/ownrecordergs. to pay for them. If you choose to pay online, your cost is $4.00. This includes a service fee the company charges for the convenience of online payment. Students will be able to take home the purchased recorders at the end of the year. 3. Use a recorder from the school. These recorders will be checked out to the student for the rest of the year. They will turn them in at the end of the year. Thanks!
