It is that time of year again where we seek feedback from our parents and staff concerning the proposed draft of the 2026-2027 District School Fee Schedule surrounding secondary school fees for grades 6-12. There are no school fees in K-5 elementary schools.
Per District Policy 5230, the Box Elder School District's Board of Education is required to hold 2 Public Comment sessions prior to approving the 2026-2027 District School Fee Schedule. Information for these two meetings are written below: We invite each of you to attend and share your comments, if desired.
The first session will be held, this Wednesday, January 14th, 2026 @ BESD District Office (ILSC Building - 960 South Main, Brigham City, Utah) at 6:30pm. (We anticipate the public comment portion will begin around 6:45pm)
The second session will be held, on Wednesday, February 11th, 2026 @ BESD District Office (ILSC Building - 960 South Main, Brigham City, Utah) at 6:30pm. (We anticipate the public comment portion will begin around 6:45pm again.)

Here is the proposed draft of the 2026-2027 District School Fee Schedule. You will notice that there is only one proposed fee increase which is highlighted in yellow that involves the Box Elder High School Marching Band. All other fees remain the same as our current 2025-2026 school year district school fee schedule.
You will also see again that there are no longer "general class fees" which makes beginning the school year a little less stressful on families.
We hope that you will share your feedback with the school board concerning the proposed draft of the BESD 2026-2027 District School Fees January 14th or February 11th.
